Butterflies Emerging
A couple of weeks I wrote this post about supporting a friend on his journey. Many of you were aware that the person who is undergoing the transition is TOH. We went shopping this weekend and began shaping a new look for him. It is an interesting experience – and one where I can see a butterfly emerging, because what is happening is that he now doesn’t feel the need to be either invisible or ecentric in order to divert from the truth of who he is. Things won’t be easy and I’m forever getting it wrong with the pronouns I’m using…but I’m getting better at correcting myself. As for him he is moving forward slowly but surely in the letting people know and with the processes which will one day lead to him being able to live entirely as himself.
FB friends you can see the picture of the new look on my wall (I’m not posting it on here for obvious reasons) but I have to say I think he is looking rather good
