Last night went to see a student production of the History Boys at the Assembly Rooms in Durham. Have to say apart from the annoying people in the audience coughing their way through it was very good. Enjoyed the play much more than the film.

Last night we had a rounding off service for EDEV. A couple of weeks ago I posted an indepth reflection on this and so I’m not going to repeat myself. However, I did want to reflect a bit on the endings and beginnings which were involved for me last night.
It was obviously the end of [...]

Josh is one of the students newly arrived in the city. He has been blogging about his experiences of the UK, amongst other things. We all tend to nod our heads and say this is v. worthy, but carry on our lives as normal muttering about increased costs. It appears, [...]

I found myself yesterday in the position of preparing the talk for Methsoc. Normally we have an interesting speaker, but yesterday due to a bit of a falling apart on all fronts it turned into a DIY job. As the secretary who had volunteered to do the talk had a huge deadline for Monday I [...]

At the moment I’m on a bit of a mission to introduce TOH to folk music. This is being done gently, the other week it was an evening spent snuggling whilst watching my DVD of Ralph McTell Live at the Royal Festival Hall. Last night it was off to her first folk gig; Show of [...]

I will never forget the day that a young man walked into the classroom where I was doing some prep and said, “I’ve done something really stupid, I pulled a knife in the library”. My initial reactions were mixed as I heard the story. I was annoyed that this young man had been so stupid, [...]

So this appears to be the much anticipated and discussed US version of Greenbelt, I’m guessing.
Interesting it is called the “Wild Goose” festival. Does this mean they have links to a certain UK based publishing company or community?
What I do like is their description of what they’re doing….which I think sums up Greenbelt more [...]
