Just had the first news since the music started from a rather hyper young person who is on her way home.
From the conversation I gleened the following information:
Scouting For Girls were rather good; the nuns scared her silly, but she ended up having a conversation with one of them; she enjoyed Kate Nash, her [...]

As a non-Anglican reading the Gafcon final statement I am an ickle confuddled. The statement seems to be a pretty standard statement of evangelical belief, apart from the references to the 4 Ecumenical Councils, Classic Anglican Ordinal, Thirty-nine articles and the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (the specifically Anglican bits I’m guessing). I thought [...]

UCU have launched a campaign to save A Level lecturer jobs in Huddersfield. The union magazine I recieved yesterday highlighted that the same culling of a FE academic department is happening in Sandwell in the East Midlands aswell. Reading through the magazine bought tears to my eyes. The following may be a long entry, [...]

Yesterday a group of us from work went to the horse racing and had some fun.
I’m hoping that the pattern of success with the ickle gambling I did will repeat itself with the bigger life gambles I’m taking at the moment. (note – don’t worry I do not intend taking up betting as a [...]

The phone call went roughly as follows:
“Mum, I’m going to go and listen to Tony Benn”

“Oh, I won’t go then I was just looking at what would make you jealous”
“But you must go, he’s a living legend”
“Ah, but I’m camping with a living legend. [...]

We shared coffee in the mornings
We shared sick jokes in the evenings
We shared our worries and frustrations
We shared our joys
We shared our dreams and ambitions
We shared inappropriate comments
We shared what we’d like to do to the f***ing registers
We shared memories of school days
We shared the delays
We shared the journey
Yet today it came to an end. [...]

Ok, proper post for today having informed the world of the computer problems. Excuse me if I have a rant about the way that the department for f***ing around with things they don’t understand is behaving at the moment.
In the UK there is uproar because ministers are threatening to close all schools which don’t get [...]

Computers are great. but sometimes they can be a nightmare.
I’ve been having major problems logging on here, getting onto Facebook and checking my e-mail and Third Party has taken my mobile to Glastonbury so I can’t text.
Have restored settings to a date in the past, hope this will help. If not, I’m not ignoring [...]

The art students are currently hosting their end of year exhibition and so I went for a wander around today. Whilst lots of it was pretty standard art and quite pretty some of it was really interesting and as good as some of the stuff I’ve seen in professional galleries.
My fave pieces were:
A bondage suit [...]
