Progressive magazines (?)

If you go down to your local specialist bookshop looking for those slightly unusual magazines you will find that there has been some activity taking place in the market. The changes will be particularly relevant for broadly, progressive, sort of emergent, (post), kinda fuzzy, basically liberal (but we rarely admit that), thinking evangelicals.

Day at the races

Today I went off to the races with some of the guys from work. An experience for me, because whilst I’m familiar with racecourses (or Cheltenham racecourse to be specific) I’ve never been to the races before.
All in all an interesting and successful day (I won more money than I bet).

Shake up to be shipped out

Ok, so Gordon Brown is prime minister and all I can think about is this . However, on a serious note his splitting of the DFES has confirmed what many have long suspected that as far as the government is concerned Level 3 academic qualifications (i.e. AS / A Levels) don’t belong in FE colleges.

Bit of a show

Saltmine Theatre Company’s The Cross and the Switchblade was quite a good production. Similarly the Gulbenkian is actually quite a comfy little theatre. After a very enjoyable evening I feel qualified to recommend both.
Oh and news from Third Party in a field in Pilton, she’s having a great time. Tonight she was [...]
